What is is the debut full length LP from Under the Influence and producer Ken Paulakovich. A true leap of faith from the band and it’s fans, the album was financed by 20K in capital on loan from these supporters (and mostly paid back). The release of the album in 1997 coincided with the bands winning the KY102 Battle of the Bands in Kansas City, Missouri.
Under the Influence gained the attention of the radio personalities and were invited to participate in the season of the Kansas City Chief’s Derek Thomas and Neil Smith weekly radio show. The album’s singles ‘If You Love Me (Truly Lovely)’ and ‘Soul Eye’ were included in regular rotation at leading radio stations. |
