Notes to Self is the debut solo album from Jason Riley on Innerthump Records. This collection of original instrumental tunes was taken from some 30 pieces of music recorded over one weekend in February of 2001. The tunes on the record range from Riley’s early solo acoustic guitar sketches to one-off performances with his electric trio. Many of the pieces are tributes or dedications to Riley’s influences or members of his family with titles such as ‘Villa-lobos Blues‘, ‘Jolie‘, ‘No Diggity‘, ‘12 Gypsies‘ and ‘The 3 Stooges‘.
